Feed the Animals

“Give the toast to the duck”

Feed the Animals is an app which helps a child to develop their understanding of instructions. Children have to feed food to the friendly duck, dog and tiger. If they follow the instruction correctly the animal will make a friendly “yum” noise. If they get the instruction wrong the food will be replaced and the instruction will be repeated.

The instructions start very easy at “one key word level”.

An example of this instruction would be “give the cake to the dog” when there is only a cake on display. This instruction should normally be followed by children from 18 months old.

The next level is “two key word level”.

An example of this instruction would be “give the carrot to the tiger” but this time there will be a selection of food on display”. This instruction should normally be followed by children between 2 and 3 years.

The next level is “three key word level”.

An example of this instruction would be “give the carrot and the cake to the tiger“. This instruction should normally be followed by children between 3 and 4 years.

The next level is “four key word level”.

An example of this instruction would be “give the carrot to the duck and the banana to the tiger“. This instruction should normally be followed by children from 4 years onwards.
